Description
BRITISH OCEANIA – Mint Collection – Here is a clean, well-organized working lot for the dealer or accumulator seeking ready-to-move modern Commonwealth material from the Southern Pacific. Several hundred different issues covering the post-colonial period of British possessions throughout the region are housed in a pristine Scott Specialty album, arriving in hand essentially pre-sorted by country and requiring minimal preparation before individual listings or breakdown sales can begin.
The largest national subsections — Samoa, Solomon Islands, and Tokelau Islands — are nicely developed, with each including numerous souvenir and miniature sheets alongside additional modern sets accommodated on blank pages. That depth within each subsection is a practical advantage for a dealer, as souvenir sheets and complete modern sets tend to list and sell cleanly as individual lots without the need for further sorting or identification work.
Condition throughout is Very Fine, original gum, most never hinged — a strong, consistent grade across the board. Note that only a sample selection has been photographed, essentially illustrating the countries represented — serious bidders are encouraged to factor the full scope of the album into their evaluation.
