PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA – Mid-Century Selection, $6,960 Cat Value – Here is a very nice mostly mint mid-century PRC selection of a couple hundred different issues including a high ratio of key sets from the period, with total catalog value quickly adding up to $6,960. Noteworthy individual standouts include mint #592-599, 684-695, 1074a, 1076-1079, 1084-1089, 1095-1098, 1099-1102, 1104-1107, 1108-1113, 1211-1214, 1255-1270, used #716-731, and numerous others with virtually no duplication.
This represents a great booster for the 1960s and 1970s portion of a PRC collection and is equally attractive to collectors seeking key mid-century sets and to dealers recognizing the lot is essentially a grouping of several dozen premium individual sets with attractive resale potential. Condition throughout is Very Fine, mint original gum, most never hinged.
