Description
United Nations and First Day Cover Lot with some neat extras! – 45 Total Pounds. Lots of value in this lot! 200-300 United Nations folders with mint UN stamps. Approximately 200 US Souvenir Pages. Large portion of lot looks like it came from a dealer as some items are heavily duplicated and some of the UN folders are priced. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 pounds US, FN & UN FDCs, at least 1,000 total covers! Some better first day cover I noticed were about 30 Famous American FDCs, #611, all uncacheted and addressed. I also spotted a 649-50 on one cover with green cancel from Civil Aeronautics Conference. Several more items included! One interesting group that caught my attention were five license/IDs issued by the US Dept of Commerce Bureau of Marine Inspection and Navigation, printed by BEP for Seaman Alan Nightingale of Plymouth, MA. Very neat!
