SWITZERLAND – COLLECTION IN A PAIR OF SCOTT SPECIALTY ALBUMS – Over 1,000 Different – Here is a lovely SWITZERLAND collection of over a thousand different issues tracing Swiss postal stamps through a century and a half from the very dawn of philately in the middle of the 19th century into the very last decade of the 1900s, presented in a pair of Scott albums. Though the very first page with cantonal issues is not to be taken seriously, the collection includes an impressively populated early period boasting noteworthy standouts including mint #35, used #8, 10, 12, 15, 16, 19, 22, 25, 27, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 40, 41-50, 52-59, 78, 79, 80, 89, 93, 96, 98-100, 102, 113-118, 126-145, 135a-144a, 181-185, and more.

The collection also includes a densely packed 20th century section with semi-postal and airmail issues, making this a very well-rounded collection put together by a dedicated collector. The second volume is mostly allocated to more ephemeral material dealing with covers and picture-perfect postcards, including a fair few examples from the first half of the 20th century, adding postal history depth. This makes the lot equally attractive to the collector looking to acquire a comprehensive Swiss foundation with both stamps and postal history and to the dealer or accumulator seeking presentation-ready specialty album material with strong catalog backing. Condition throughout is generally Very Fine, mint original gum, many never hinged. Note that only a sample selection has been photographed, highlighting key sections.
