Description
SWITZERLAND – COLLECTION IN A PAIR OF SCOTT SPECIALTY ALBUMS – Lovely collection of over a thousand different issues tracing Swiss postal stamps through century and a half long period from the very dawn of philately in the middle of the 19th century and into the very last decade of the 1900s on the opposite end presented in a pair of Scott albums! Though the very first page with cantonal issues is not to be taken seriously, the collection includes an impressively populated early period of Swiss philately, boasting such noteworthy individual standouts like mint #35, used #8, 10, 12, 15, 16, 19, 22, 25, 27, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 40, 41-50, 52-59, 78, 79, 80, 89, 93, 96, 98-100, 102, 113-118, 126-145, 135a-144a, 181-185, and more! The collection also includes a densely packed 20th century section with semi-postal and airmail issues! Very well-rounded collection put together by a dedicated collector. The second volume is mostly allocated to more ephemeral portion dealing with covers and picture-perfect postcards, including fair few examples from the first half of the 20th century! Gen. VERY FINE, mint og, many NH (We only photographed sample selection, merely highlighting some of the key sections going through the collection)
