Description
SWITZERLAND – Mint and Used Collection, Close to 500 Issues – Here is a comprehensive SWITZERLAND collection offering close to five hundred issues covering over a century from the very earliest Swiss Cross issues in the middle of the 19th century through the mid-1970s, presented in a pristine Scott Specialty album. The album itself is in excellent condition and provides professional housing that can be kept intact as a personal collection or serve as a clean, organized foundation for further expansion or breakdown into individual listings.
The collection opens with a solid 19th century portion featuring noteworthy standouts like used #7, 8, 11, 24, 27, 33, 38, 42, 34, 47, 50, 52-59, among others, giving the early period genuine substance that goes well beyond a basic framework. From there the collection only becomes more comprehensively populated as it rolls into the 20th century, with numerous pages showing far more stamps than the spaces allocated by Scott, illustrating a kaleidoscope of minor varieties that will be appreciated by the specialist looking for shades, papers, and printing differences beyond the standard catalog listings.
The pristine Scott Specialty album presentation combined with the depth of coverage across both classic and modern periods makes this an attractive option for the collector looking to strengthen an existing Swiss portfolio or even move into Swiss philately for the first time with a solid foundation already in place. Condition throughout is generally Very Fine, mint original gum.
