MONACO – HIGH QUALITY SELECTION – Roughly 2,000 Issues – This is an expansive and very attractive MONACO selection of roughly two thousand mostly mint issues with generally very limited duplication, running through a century and a half from 19th century classics to the turn of the 21st century. Within are multiple subsections of Monacan philately packed with premium singles including noteworthy standouts like mint #4 (no gum), 5 (no gum), 20 (NH), as well as back-of-the-book high value sets like mint #B36-B50 (NH), and much more.
The first half of the 20th century is particularly strong in both the regular section and back-of-the-book, dominated by semi-postal issues from the 1930s, giving this lot genuine depth in the areas that matter most to Monaco specialists. The lot feels much more akin to a national collection rather than typical dealer stock, making it equally attractive to the collector looking to strengthen a Monaco portfolio across multiple subsections all at once and to the dealer or accumulator who would be able to form a solid resaleable collection from the volume as is. Condition throughout is generally Very Fine, mint original gum, many never hinged. Note that some pages are very multilayered and stacked with material.
