Description
INTERNATIONAL SELECTION OF THOUSANDS INCLUDING TRIO OF VINTAGE SCOTT ALBUMS – Here is a nice grouping of thousands presented on hundreds of loose album and stock pages, in new issues subscription service glassines and baggies, as well as filling smaller boxes. While the bulk of the stamps are from the late decades of the 20th century, the lot also features very attractive vintage album components including three vintage Scott albums from the turn of the 20th century: a sparsely populated pair of Junior albums and a practically empty Scott International 1901 album with pristine pages that is genuinely collectible as a piece of philatelic furniture.
Furthermore, the lot includes a Scott Specialty album allocated to Switzerland (sparsely populated) and a really solid Iraq collection on loose album pages starting with earliest issues, adding genuine philatelic substance beyond just the vintage album housing. The combination of thousands of loose stamps, vintage album pages, and organized country collections makes this equally attractive to the collector looking to acquire both material and period-appropriate housing and to the dealer or accumulator seeking lots of buried value simply because of the scope and diversity of the lot. Condition throughout is generally Very Fine, mint original gum, some never hinged. Note that only a sample overview has been photographed while repacking.
