Description
CANADA – Mostly Mint Collection, 1,000+ Different – Here is a comprehensive CANADA collection offering over a thousand different issues spanning the full arc of Canadian postal history from the iconic beaver designs deep within the 19th century through to the turn of the 21st century, presented in a pristine Scott Specialty album. The album itself is in excellent condition and provides professional housing that can be kept intact as a personal collection or serve as a clean foundation for further expansion or breakdown into individual listings.
The early period is solidly populated with genuine substance, including individual standouts like mint #56 and used #14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 21, 23, 24, 26, 27, 29, 30, 40b, 47, 104-122, among others. The turn of the 20th century section is particularly well represented, giving the collection depth in an era that appeals strongly to both classic and transitional period specialists. The 20th century portion is very comprehensively populated, running mint and used into the 1970s, meaning the lot offers material across multiple collecting eras rather than concentrating on a single period.
The pristine Scott Specialty album presentation is a genuine advantage, providing clean, organized housing that eliminates the need for rehousing whether the goal is building a personal Canadian portfolio or working through the collection for resale purposes. Condition throughout is generally Very Fine, mint original gum. Note that only the opening section through mid-century has been photographed, representing perhaps one-fifth of the full lot, and prospective buyers are encouraged to factor the complete scope of the album into their evaluation.
